Sign-up for 2007 FALL RECREATION SOCCER

Fall rec soccer is organized different than spring so please note the changes before signing up. NOTE: Register for the GRADE the player is ENTERING fall 2007.

Team formation:
Grades 1 & 2 are combined, grades 3 & 4 are combined, grades 5 & 6 are combined.

Grades 7 & 8 and 9-12 play street soccer format. (All players practice together once a week and then they show up at the same time on Saturdays. The teams are formed by the coach on the fly each week depending on which players show up to play an 8v8 small sided soccer game.)

Practice evenings:
BOYS: Grades 1-6 Monday & Wednesday;
GIRLS: Grades 1-6 Tuesday & Thursday.
GIRLS: Grades 7-8 will practice Tuesday evenings
BOYS: Grades 7-8 will practice Wednesday evenings
Grades 9-12 (co-ed) will practice Thursday evenings

Game dates: The fall season practices may begin the week of August 27. The first games will be played on Saturday, September 8 and continue through Saturday, October 13. Cost: $50 (grades 1-6) $25 (grades 7-12).
Please note: Registration is NOT complete and team assignment will not be made until payment has been received.

Registration for 2007 Fall Recreational Soccer has now closed, but there may still be a few spots available in select age groups. To check, please contact the RYSA office at 280-7584.

NOTE: By registering for an RYSA activity, you agree to the following statement: I, the parent/guardian of the registrant, a minor, agree that the registrant and I will abide by the rules of the RYSA, MYSA and USYSA, its affiliated organizations and sponsors. Recognizing the possibility of physical injury associated with soccer and in consideration for the RYSA accepting the registrant for its soccer programs and activities (the “programs”), I hereby release, discharge and/or otherwise indemnify the RYSA, MYSA, USYSA, its affiliated organizations and sponsors, their employees and associated personnel, including the owners of the fields and facilities utilized for the programs, against any claim by or on behalf of the registrant as result of the registrant’s participation in the programs and/or being transported to or from the same, which transportation I hereby authorize.

Refund policy: Once registered, players requesting to drop prior to July 1, 2007 will receive a refund for fees paid at registration time less $20. Players requesting to drop after July 1, 2007 will receive no refund.

Volunteer Coaches Needed If you'd be willing to coach a rec team, please volunteer to coach during registration or call the age group coordinator for the age you'd like to volunteer with, or contact our office at 280-7584.

Notes:

• Grades 1-2 play 2 concurrent games on adjacent fields - 1/8 the size of full field. The fields will be marked A-D.
• Grades 3-4 play on 1/4 size fields. So, for example Fuad 3 NW, means the NW quadrant of field M3 (Fuad Mansour 3).
• Grades 5-6 play on 1/2 size fields. So for example Fuad 5 S, means the south half of field M5 (Fuad Mansour 5)

RYSA Recreational League Needs You

The RYSA Recreational League is in need of volunteers to fill the following positions:

Age Group Coordinators -- Recruit/assign coaches, form teams, pass along pertinent information to coaches, mediate conflict/questions among coaches, parents and players.

Secretary -- Keeps general records and correspondence, records and distributes committee meeting minutes.

All of the above positions are voting members of the RYSA Recreation League Committee - help us set the direction for recreational soccer in the Zumbro Valley Region.

RYSA Recreation Soccer Rules
The Zumbro Valley Rec Soccer Rules can be found at RYSA Rec Soccer Rules. Note that RYSA Recreation Soccer has removed the "Pulling Player" rule. As coaches, players and parents we are still responsible for keeping the game fun for all participants and should attempt to avoid lopsided games. If you require assistance in this area please contact Neil Cassidy, RYSA Coaching Director.

ALL Coaches and volunteers working with kids will need to fill out and have notarized the "Adult Registration/ Consent form" also known as the Informed Consent/Disclosure Statement form for Risk Assessment.
