The Rochester Youth Soccer Association promotes the game of soccer for age 6 (1st Grade)-19 in Rochester, Minnesota and surrounding communities. RYSA is associated with the Minnesota Youth Soccer Association. We have soccer leagues and training year round for players of all levels of talent and desire.
In our Recreational soccer program, players from 1st-12th grade learn soccer, score goals, make friends and have fun. They practice twice a week and have games on Saturdays from April through the end of school. Parents, grandparents, high school students, and former players volunteer to coach and are an important part of our program.
In our Competitive Traveling soccer program, players from U9-U19 focus on growing their skills and competing against other club teams from MYSA, primarily in the South District league. Practices start in April and the season runs from May through July. Teams can also choose to compete in tournaments during the summer. Our club strives to provide a positive experience for developing players and coaches who have the desire and commitment to excel in the sport of soccer.
In our Select Academy and Center for Technical Development, we offer individual skill training to similarly skilled players during the winter months at Soccer World. Training is provided by our Coaching director and coaches with advanced soccer training.
Rochester Youth Soccer celebrated 30 years of soccer in Rochester in 2005. See a brief history of soccer in Rochester for more information. You can read more about the RYSA organization in our RYSA Bylaws, Development Plan or our Operating Procedures.
