Our Philosophy

RYSA strives to provide a positive experience for developing players and coaches who have the desire and commitment to excel in the sport of soccer. Our goal is to make it fun, and instill in young players a lifelong passion for the sport.

Training & Camps

RYSA will be offering a number of different training opportunities during the 2012 Summer season. As RYSA focuses on the importance of player development, we want you to join us for some of the most dynamic training in the area. Be sure to check back as more clinics become available.

RYSA camps are overseen by Chris Belcher, RYSAs Director of Player Development and a Unites States Soccer Federation "A" Licensed Coach. For more information, please contact Chris at 280-7584 or rysaplayerdevelopment@gmail.com.

Training and Camps Refund Policy

Once registered, players requesting to opt out of their registration more than 1 week before the start of the training event or camp will receive a refund for fees paid at registration less $20. Players requesting to opt out at 1 week or less before the start of the training event or camp will receive a refund of 50% of fees paid at registration only if we are able to fill the spot from our wait list. If we are unable to fill the spot from our wait list, no refund will be issued.


Elite Soccer Performance Training

Together, RYSA and Active PT are once again offering a Soccer Fitness Course for U11 – U19 players.

June 11 - 13th, 2012, 9:00am - 10:30am at Fuad Soccer Complex
Cost: $45

Elite Soccer Performance Training is a research-based program created to get High School and Collegiate players prepped and ready for their upcoming season. This three day, intense camp will focus on improving your speed, agility, soccer skill-set, and endurance. The program is designed to improve core control, landing skills, and improve footwork precision to help reduce the risk of ACL injury during the upcoming season. Kim Gordon, MPT is a licensed physical therapist and Pilates instructor who specializes in athlete strength and stability that is specific to each sport. Chris Belcher, RYSA Player Development, will also be coaching on the course.

Summer Morning Recreation Soccer Camp

June 18 - 22, 2012, 9:00am - 10:30am at Fuad Soccer Complex
Cost: $75
Ages: Grades 1-6

This soccer camp for children in grades 1-6 is focused on teaching and improving soccer skills by using a series of enjoyable games and activities. Emphasis is on having fun, developing and improving skills, and team building. The goal of the Summer Morning Recreation Soccer Camp is for participants to improve their overall soccer abilities.


 

RYSA Striker’s & Goalkeeper Camp

July 2,3,5,6, 2012, 9:00am - 10:30am at Fuad Soccer Complex
Cost: $60
Ages: U11 - U16

Looking to improve your goalkeeping or scoring abilities? At the "Strikers and Goalkeepers Camp” field players will learn ways to improve their goal scoring techniques, while goalkeepers will learn skills to help them improve their goalkeeping abilities. At the beginning of each session, goalkeepers and striker’s will work separately, and then come together toward the end of each session to put their training to the test.


RYSA Defender Camp

July 9 - 12, 2012, 9:00am - 10:30am at Fuad Soccer Complex
Cost: $60
Ages: U11-U16

If your team doesn't give up a goal, there is no way they can lose the game! All players need to know the principles of defending, no matter what position they play. So, if you're a player looking to improve your defensive skills, the RYSA "Defenders Camp" is for you. Through 1 v 1, 2 v 2 and 3 v 3 field experiences, this camp will help develop and broaden participants' individual and small group defending tactics and techniques.


RYSA Midfielders Camp

July 16 - 19, 2012, 9:00am - 10:30am at Fuad Soccer Complex
Cost: $60
Ages: U11-U16

Solid midfield play is a key importance for every team. At this camp, players will learn the different technical and tactical aspects of midfield play, focusing on both attacking and defending from the midfield position.


2011 Summer Evening Recreation Camp

July 30 – Aug 2, 2012, 6:00pm - 7:30pm at Watson Soccer Complex
Cost: $60
Ages: Grades 1-6

This soccer camp for children in grades 1-6 is focuses on teaching and improving soccer skills by using a series of enjoyable games and activities. Emphasis is on having fun, developing and improving skills, and team building. The goal of the Summer Evening Recreation Soccer Camp is for participants to improve their overall soccer abilities. This is a four-day, evening version of the recreation camp RYSA offers earlier in the Summer.
